Keltse's Story

Big and Tiny's Owner & Founder

Keltse Bilbao was born in Spain and considers herself a true citizen of the world. Having lived in countries like the UK, Belgium, Mexico, and the US, Keltse has embraced diverse cultures that have shaped her personal and professional journey. Though she majored in economics, her heart was always set on entrepreneurship, where she found her true passion in bringing ideas to life and creating ideas that leave a lasting, meaningful impact. Keltse received her master's degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania and has immersed herself in the most effective educational principles and practices that spark curiosity, connection, and a lifelong love of learning.

Alongside Keltse on this adventure is her husband, Gio, a talented guitarist and composer with Italian and Mexican roots. Together, they’ve built a wonderful family with their two daughters, Giuli and Valeria. In raising her two daughters, she recognized the critical need for high-quality early education spaces and developed a deep desire to create something truly unique—an environment that reflects the distinct needs and values of her own family.

Eight years ago, Keltse founded Big and Tiny with the vision of creating a space where families could actively engage in their children’s learning. She wanted to build an environment where education was a shared journey—one that involved both children and parents. While Big and Tiny has grown and evolved, that core belief has remained unchanged: families are integral to a child’s learning experience.

Today, we are dedicated to merging these two beautiful communities, infusing our passion and innovative approach into every corner of the school. One of our proudest achievements is the addition of a dual-language Spanish program, enriching our multicultural and diverse learning environment.

Our Mission

Parents are true partners in this journey

Our mission remains simple but profound: to create spaces where children thrive, families connect, and lifelong learning flourishes. At the heart of our work is a commitment to balancing strong academics with social-emotional growth. We believe that children should not only be academically prepared for the future but also equipped with the emotional intelligence and resilience to navigate life. Parents are true partners in this journey, helping shape an experience that builds confidence, fosters connection, and inspires a lifelong love of learning.

" Very well-run outfit. The facility is brand new, and the location is fantastic and convenient. The staff is attentive and engaging with the kids. They keep the class sizes small to keep it intimate. My daughter loves going here"
