Summer STEAM
Adventures
3 to 5 years.
Big & Tiny’s Summer STEAM Adventure Series is a fun, enriching and supportive first camp experience designed for 3 to 5 year-olds. We provide multiple opportunities for children to learn through hands on projects, and connect with nature through plenty of outdoor play while exploring our beautiful Battery Park City neighborhood and community.
Join us this Summer
June 26-August 25
In this summer long program, your child will participate in immersive adventures. Each week will focus on different aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and will culminate in an in-person, inquiry-based expedition to one of the wonders of Battery Park!

Explore Zoology at the Bee Village; Engage in Engineering & Physics with a ride on the Battery Park Ferry; Investigate the Natural Sciences during a self-guided tour through the Public Urban Farm; Analyze Architecture & Engineering on a trip to the Skyscraper Museum; get creative with Painting & Sculpture during a visit to the larger-than-life Keith Haring sculptures–the possibilities are endless.

Program Blueprint
Throughout the week, Big & Tiny’s expert staff will be guiding your tiny adventurer through a series of experiential learning activities to prepare them for the trip. And at the end of each week, the class will engage in verbal, visual and written reflections to encourage each student to see the connections between what they’ve experienced and the academic subject matter that inspired it. Oh, and did we mention that it’s going to be a ton of fun too?
Each educator at Big and Tiny has degrees in early childhood education and the experience to provide a caring and supportive environment for first-time campers. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere while facilitating connection and friendship. Your tiny one will connect with nature, gain personal and social confidence, independence, and make friends. Our Summer program is the perfect first-step for those children entering Preschool and beyond.
